We got season passes this year that is good for all six flag parks. We also wanted to go to Lake George. Any recommendations on full hook up cg in lake george? Thanks
There are several campgrounds around the Lake George area. It's very much a resort area (and has been for many many years). The Great Escape is actually south of Lake George proper (it's actually in the town of Queensbury). I think the Lake George RV Park is the closest one at approximately a mile away; it appears to be quite nice if rather spendy. (I have no personal experience with any campgrounds in the area, as I live close enough to make it a reasonable day trip.)
In my opinion, it's not really worth making a special trip of a day or two just to visit the Great Escape. It's not a huge park, and doesn't offer too much unique that you won't find elsewhere. The Comet is a possibly an exception for roller coaster fans, since it's of historical interest, rather unusual in construction (a wood coaster with steel supporting structure), and good fun to ride.
