How cold is it in this area in the winter months? One of my friends is going to be down there then and I thought I might go visit him in my 5ver.
Thunder,
Here's my reason for asking the question.
It's southern Utah -- the temps are regulated by elevation and the weather. Confusing, yup. we love it, cool crisp nights and sunny warmer days - it will freeze and it will be warm all depends. Bryce is higher in elevation and can be really COLD (below freezing) but it can just as easily be warm. It does snow and as said it really sets off the Red Rocks.
Take a variety of clothes, you will likely need them all.
One year we climbed to the top of Angels landings in shorts and T shirts then the next day in Bryce had 10" of snow and a low of 10, both days were in our top ten, as they both showed off the areas the way we will never forget.
So back to the question, How Cold - Cold but it not really that Cold, warm but not really that warm. All depends an where you are.
