camping in SE Utah in Jan.- March
How cold is it in this area in the winter months? One of my friends is going to be down there then and I thought I might go visit him in my 5ver.

SE Utah is a little to vague to give a good answer. Zion can be quite tolerable in shirt sleeves by mid-March, but Bryce would still be in the depths of winter.
