camping in SE Utah in Jan.- March
How cold is it in this area in the winter months? One of my friends is going to be down there then and I thought I might go visit him in my 5ver.

Sorry, those were just better known examples to give an idea of the diversity of climate at that time of year.
OK, hopefully this works better:
Bluff can be quite tolerable in shirt sleeves by mid-March, but the Abajo's would still be in the depths of winter.
