Camping in the Redwoods

We are looking for an RV park in Northern California that is actually located in the Redwoods, if possible. If possible, near Ferndale/Eureka. Full hook up, not a parking lot, clean and quiet at night. Thanks for any suggestions.

  • I liked the Giant Redwoods RV Park.

In the redwoods FHU sites right on the Eel river.

There is also Ancient Redwoods RV Park mainly a large open campground surrounded By The Redwoods,a good base camp to explore from.

Both about 50 miles from Ferndale.

To get truly into the Redwoods you would have to go to the State Parks near by both of these but they are dry Camping, for that we always stay at Burlington
  • Ancient Redwoods RV Park on the Avenue of the Giants near Redcrest.

Not quite where you're after, but we stayed at Klamath River RV Park:

Grassy spots. We were off to one side and had a decent sized spot.

It was just down the road from the northern side of the Redwoods State & National Park.

The only problem with this place is spaces are short. Del Norte is also an option if you can do dry camps.

The OP asked for full hookups. Jeremiah SP does not have them.
