- agesilausExplorer IIIThere are several in and near Sturdy Butte, which is right outside the gate. If you visit off-season, not the fall-winter, then your choices reduce to one: Rio Grande Village RV Campground. It basically just a dirt parking lot but has FHU. The other one we saw, that was closed, wasn't even close to being a level parking lot. There is a resort type CG but it is 15 miles or so south in the next town. There is one FHU cg in the park, I'm not sure how big a unit can get in there.
Oh yeah as mentioned above, stock up before you get there. There is a modern but small market with prices as expected in the back side of nowhere. - We stayed at Rio Grande Village as we were there during winter cold spell. They have hook-ups. There is not many supplies or fuel available so come prepared.
The adjacent NPS Campground looked good. No hook-ups.
Lots of trees and wildlife through out the park.
