I have to wonder when people are going to realize the slanted, biased, and intentionally dishonest media are the largest enemy here. As has already been mentioned, murder per capita in the U.S. has been going down since the 70's and the U.S. Is not even in the top 100 countries of murder per capita. Secondly, apparently many people, journalists especially, are only concerned if the murder is by gun. This is ridiculous logic at best and just plain stupid at worst. But, Canada does have a lower murder rate per capita, and Mexico is about 300% the U.S. Rate. Of course if you remove the largest U.S. Cities with the max gun control and essentially no concealed carry permits issued to its's citizens from the statistics, the U.S. Murder per capita drops to very near the bottom of all of the countries in the world. Just guessing, but I would bet that if Canada's largest cities were removed from their statistics they would be at the bottom. So, wherever you are from, you can lower your odds of being murdered in the U.S. by any means to near zero by avoiding cities like Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, etc. instead of avoiding the U.S.
