we have traveled to all 50 states and never seen a gun or heard any gunfire. This is probably because we don't camp in major cities. Most campgrounds and RV parks are safe. We check reviews before we go. When we visit major cities we use our toad vehicle and go during the day and always know the directions to where we're going so we don't take the wrong exit. There is still crime in Canada but the criminals use different weapons. The people who are saying they are concerned about gun violence might also be the same type of people who say the same about not going to California because of earthquakes or not going to the midwest because of tornadoes or not flying on a airplane after 9/11. I had someone who lived in California tell me once that she would not go to Miami because of the riots and fires (a long time ago). I laughed and said that they had riots in California and they have earthquakes. She laughed and agreed that she was being unreasonable. Use your head when you travel and you shouldn't worry about things that may (or may not) happen. If we live in fear we won't go anywhere. My sister worries about the weather. I told her that we have traveled over 110,000 miles and have only had 2x that we had to evacuate the RV. One was in Florida! Tell them we are safe and come on down!
