Canadians Avoiding US due to Gun Violence

We live in Ontario. We had non RVing guests this weekend who usually go
to Florida for a month and stay in a condo. They have decided not to go this year as they are worried about the amount of gun violence south of the border. Last week some RV friends also expressed the same concern and decided with our low dollar and all that is going on, they feel safer staying home.

Being Canadians we are not armed and try to be cautious about where we go, etc. Hearing others say they are avoiding the US just now got me wondering if this is a sign of the times and how many others have the same worry about their safety. Violence is nothing new, but it does seem to be getting worse.
  • It's terrible down here. All the Canadians should stay home.;)
  • I agree with you that the gun violence seems to be worse and worse, here in the states but it eventually will be spilling over into Canada.

Being gun free does not equal safety.

    Wish you the best.
  • No offense, but that is fine with me. You gotta do what you gotta do and what makes you feel good. I glad you didn't put something in your post that got political and tried to give us in the USA advice.
