Bayview is my fav.
Top of Cape just over the bridge. Good spot for day trips down the Cape.
Nice Pools & rec. for the kids.

Bourne Scenic Park, Scussett beach, Nickerson State Park all nice too.

Scussett Beach is closed until further notice (electrical issues). Sorry, can't comment on where to camp. We usually stay in "rustic" campgrounds (no hook-ups, no pool, etc.). We do love the cape tho! Agnes

It's expensive and not very nice.

Scussett was shooting to be back up and running for Memorial Day, but given the amount of snow on the ground around here, I doubt very much they've been able to even start the project. Easily my favorite New England CG. Knew it was coming as they had regular electrical problems for several years now. Let's hope they get is back up and running soon.

It's expensive and not very nice.

We stay at Atlantic Oaks a couple times a year. We love this place.The Cape Cod Bike Trail runs right on the back side of the property,Arnold's is within walking distance. Truro Vineyards down the road and a trip wouldent be complete without a full day and night in P Town. That being said there is absolutely nothing for kids at this place. Nickerson would also not be good for kids. I have stayed at Cape Cod Camp Resort about 10 years ago but just used it as home base and did not use anything there. They were just building the second pool when we were there.

Hi, We have either stayed at Atlantic Oaks for its easy access to bike trail or at Sweetwater Forest for its great sites when we go to the Cape. No pool but both really nice places to stay.

We've stayed at Sweetwater Forest a few times. It's centrally located but as for kids' activities - ours are grown.
Wandering around Provincetown is an experience. We've done a few whale watch trips but the novelty has worn off for us.
+1 for the Cape Cod Rail Trail - a paved multi-use trail we enjoy biking on. Our only issue is with people pretending they're in the Tour de France and yelling at YOU to look out. If you make it that far to have to stop at Arnold's in Eastham for lunch. They have an Airstream trailer equipped as as a restroom right off the bike trail.
DW enjoys the Cape Cod Natural History museum in Brewster. Nice exhibits, and you can walk the nature trail down to the ocean.
Also in Brewster is the General Store and ice cream shop. Lots of novel and unique stuff in the General Store.
We took the ferry to Nantucket ($$$) and spent the day there. IMHO the privately-run whaling museum there is better than the NPS one in New Bedford.
The Salt Marsh Visitor Center at the National Seashore is nice. We like taking the guided canoe tours of the marsh. And you can bike to one of the beaches from the parking lot.
The last time we were there I did some research and got the truck equipped so we could do some beach driving. Air down the tires, put it in 4 X 4, drive out on the beach, and spend the day at Race Point.
Traffic - avoid arriving on a Friday night or Saturday, and leave early on Sunday morning, otherwise you run into the weekenders. And there's a tourist information center on rt 6 after to get to the Cape.
