Cape Coral, FL area RV parks

We will be in the area this summer, June/July visiting family. Looking for a place to stay while we are there. Does not have to be a "resort" and we don't have little ones with us. as for pets, 1 cat.

Any suggestions?
  • I would suggest you look at Fort Myers or Fort Myers Beach, since Cape Coral has no places to stay, and the roads to Cape Coral (McGregor Blvd, Estero) have many places. We stay at Gulf Waters, which is convenient to most things (Summerlin/McGregor), but not too close to the beach traffic. You won't have traffic or reservation problems in the summer, so don't feel stuck if you end up at a place you don't like. Koreshan State Park (Estero) is nice, too, and right off 41.
  • Nothing right in Cape Coral. RvParkReviews would be your best bet for getting ideas of what's in the area. Have read reviews on the KOA on Pine Island and they are not so good. Really depends on what your looking for in a CG. Good luck.
  • Thanks to all for your replies, much appreciated. The purpose of the visit is for family, so we will not be spending too much time at the CG during the day. Looking for clean, safe and quiet.
