Trees hard to find on OBX, then ask for campsite with Trees on OBX is even harder. However OBX is really nice if you have never been. I leave in a day or two for a few days down there. They have the National Park Campgrounds and then there are the commercial ones mentioned (Ocean Waves, KOA, and Camp Hatteras).
