Carolinas pull through overnight sites near 95

We are traveling to Orland FL from North East MD this November for a wedding. Plan A is to take the Bay Bridge Tunnel and route 58 to Emporia VA to avoid Baltimore, Washington, and Richmond. That will take a little over 6 hours. The remainder of the trip will be nine and a half hours along 95.

What are some nice campgrounds along 95 in North or South Carolina where we can stop for the night with hookups so that 4 adults can get showers and breakfast in the morning? Pull through sites are preferred.
  • The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in Roanoke Rapids NC

New Green Acres in Walterboro, SC

All pull thrus and easy on and off 95.

    X2
  • According to how far you want to drive, South of the Border in Dillon, New Green Acres in Walterboro and Point South @ exit 31 (Beaufort exit). All of these are in South Carolina and are adjacent to I-95. Yes, there is highway traffic noise, but we just flip on our AC fan and drowned it out. Each of these has worked for us at one time or the other.

X2 - have used it often, evacuated there during Irma for two nights. About $25. Restaurant in the complex.

Also New Green Acres is a good choice, though lots of puddles when there was rain.

Have used Lake McIntosh several times but minimal shower facilities in a trailer building when we've stayed there (not recently).
  • There are several along the 95 corridor there is a nice one not far from the NC/Va line on the North bound side of 95, I believe its a KOA, there is one further down again N/B side of 95, but you can see it from 95, and because of the traffic you can hear it as well. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
