Overnight I-95 North Carolina

Headed to Florida on Nov 7 for a wedding the next weekend. Will leave northern Maryland around 3 PM to head down I-95, I-97, MD 30, US 301 through Waldorf and pick up 3 bridesmaids along the way! We are in a 37 foot motorhome towing a compact car.

Plan A is to stop somewhere in North Carolina for the night and finish the trip on the 8th, so the further south the better. Can anyone recommend a quick and easy and of course inexpensive campground, preferably with pull through sites where we can get there late at night and leave early the next morning, and definitely close to I-95 to save time. Some campgrounds have special sites and rate just for this purpose, and we will be doing it on a Tuesday night, not the weekend!

All we need is pull in, hook up electric, sewage would be a plus, put out slides, sleep, get up, unhook, and leave!
  • Santee State Park is just over 100 miles from the NC line.
  • IF you are making better than expected time rolling south, you could stay at Santee State park in SC. About 40 miles south of the NC/SC line.
  • Place called I-95 cg. Cheap and easy near fl border. And south of the border is good also
  • When driving that route, we usually use Lazy Acres RV Park, Fayetteville, NC. Not to far off the interstate and nice folks.

Enfield KOA; easy off & on I95. Nice place, stayed there overnight in 2015.
