I think the best lesson would be for her to volunteer at a national park for a summer. Anyone that witnesses all the damage and litter caused by self centered imbeciles would have to learn a lesson about the preciousness of our parks.
It just so happened that she got caught because she was naive (stupid) enough to post the evidence on social media. The vandalism she inflicted on our public lands is only a tiny fraction of what is done daily.
