Great place! We spent 4 days in the campground, 3 days in the park. You will definitely want the lighthouse point section. It's $$$$$ but well worth it! I'll dig up a picture later.
I've been intrigued with Cedar Post after seeing the picyures you posted awhile back.
I'm considering going this summer however I can't find anything interesting/unique enough in the area. Cedar Point looks like a great place, But I can't justify driving that far just for an amusement park.
I was hoping there would be something else along the way from Maryland but I'm not finding a lot. Maybe Canton,Ohio attractions?
Do an Internet Search "Weird Ohio" and you'll find more than enough things to entertain you on your travels. I have a copy of "Weird Indiana" (the book) and it's our goal to visit all the places identified in the book. We've seen or visited about 20% of them so far. Many are right in our own back yard and didn't even realize it, and some I've seen for years and never considered them "weird", like the giant pink elephant on highway 67 North East of Indianapolis. The pink elephant is holding a campaign glass with his trunk. Never thought of that as "Weird" until it appear in this book.
Check out "Weird Maryland" also, and you may have enough stuff in your own back yard to be entertained with, you'll not have a need to even go to Cedar Point. While your at it, look up "haunted" and "Paranormal" for your geographical areas you're planning to travel. There's ALWAYS weird stuff everywhere and it's missed all the time.
Of course, when you're traveling to the 'big' destination spot, take time for the littler, less insignificant sites as well. These (in my experiences) are more memorable then then big "splash and blast" attractions!
