Cedar creek quality?

Based on ours, I would say their excellent. But mine is 12 years old and still going strong, so I cannot really speak for new ones. It got a couch reupholstery and new LR carpet this month. In 12 years it has only had normal wear repairs done, and never back to the dealer for warrenty work.

We traded in our cedar creek silverback 2005 31lbhbs last year for our 2 person camper. Our cedar creek survived 11 years with our three kids and many miles with very few issues.

I would like to answer this as a Coachman owner, and the friend of a Cedar Creek owner. He's a fellow I camp with often and we work on our rigs and do upgrades all the time. His rig is a 36' rear living room model 2016. He has not had any major issues, but let me list a couple things. His stairs were weak and needed some modification to make them not flex. He had problems with water siphoning out of his fresh tank thus a check valve needed to be installed. His water tank was bulging out of the frame rails so some reinforcement was needed. The front cap was fading but was replaced under warranty before final sale. Several plastic trim pieces were cracked upon delivery so new parts sent and installed under warranty. The queen bed bows in the middle so a support was installed. Strings on his blinds have begun fraying and will require repair. Now, my Coachman has been ok, but I have done many similar repairs to mine. Mostly quality control stuff, sloppy work or things I couldn't live with. Some proactive mods as other owners had issues (FR1 filter housing). I believe that your either handy or your rig sits at a dealer while everybody else camps. His unit and mine are near identical layout. His suffered from quality issues like mine did. His dealer has been good with warranty work as has mine. He camps a ton thus many issues have reared up sooner than most would see with occasional use. He is still happy with his unit and hopes that the "teething" issues are done and he will have a great rig for years to come.

We had '06 CC Silverback 33 LBHTS. Ordered it in winter of '05, came in as a '06 in June. Only real issues we had was lower paint and bad axles. Both taken care of by CC. Local dealer's tech told me a few years later that ours was of better build quality than those of that current years CC's. We were very happy with it and served us well. Just that kids have grown and no need for a BH anymore. Were pretty much set on getting another CC, but when we really started to delve into them on features, design, items eliminated, we passed and went w/ Heartland Big Country. I feel CC ranks right up there in build quality, but we wanted something that was made to what we liked, NOT to what a mfr thinks we should like.

The Cedar Creek we presently own is our first. We've had it 2+ years. The only had three issues. A faulty CO2 detector (dealer mailed me a replacement). A faulty LED light that was out of warranty (factory mailed me a replacement and a spare at no charge). A faulty Dometic AC which Dometic replaced. Our experience with this trailer has been much better that the previous one (SOB) and I we've been very happy with it.

From all the reading I do on here, it is pretty much meaningless to compare quality of trailers from 5 years or more ago to those newer years. Seems quality of many brands has fallen over the last few years from the quality of the same brands of the past.
