Cedar Point Amusement Park, Sandusky, Ohio

Hi, How many teenagers do you have or are you adult teens? It is a wonderful park and on Lake Erie. If you just do CP you need at least two days. I would urge a move west from the park and taking in Port Clinton and the Islands. Ferry's run to the islands on very regular schedules. The Glacier ruts on Kelly's are a marvel but not captivating entertainment. Put in Bay is nice, very much a tourist rap but if you like to see people having fun they do. A fishing trip from PC may be of interest. Head boats are available. Then further west is Toledo/Perrysburg areas. If you were a MASH fan Tony Pakos is a must see. Good food fun place, autographed hot dog buns. Perrysburg has Ft Meigs it is worth the day. Loads of history and reenactors. This is where Perry beat the Brits in war of 1812. Perrys Monument is on Put In Bay island. Can see Canada from the observation tower of it.

Northern Ohio has some interesting places. Even Cleveland which we southern Ohio residents ignore has a graveyard full of celebrities including Elliot Ness and the Browns and Indians.

We were wondering if the on site Campground is any good or if there are any good ones nearby that we should consider. Obvious benefits of on site campground are closeness to go back and forth into the Amusement Park and no need to pay for parking because we are already there.

If you have ever been to the Amusement Park, how was it? How many days should we plan and what are your thoughts on tickets. Are there any discounts out there. Any advice or help with planning would be greatly appreciated.
