Great place! We spent 4 days in the campground, 3 days in the park. You will definitely want the lighthouse point section. It's $$$$$ but well worth it! I'll dig up a picture later.
I've been intrigued with Cedar Post after seeing the picyures you posted awhile back.
I'm considering going this summer however I can't find anything interesting/unique enough in the area. Cedar Point looks like a great place, But I can't justify driving that far just for an amusement park.
I was hoping there would be something else along the way from Maryland but I'm not finding a lot. Maybe Canton,Ohio attractions?
I have not been there yet, but just over an hour east in the Cleveland/Akron area is Cuyahoga Valley National Park. If you check out the national park website it looks really nice for biking. You bike and then flag down a train when you want a lift back. We're going this Memorial weekend.
Also, Toledo has a pretty nice zoo.
