Central California Campgrounds Paso Robles/SF/where!?

Just moved to Santa Cruz, CA and want to take the 3 kids (boys 5,11,14) out in the Travel Trailer for 4 nights over Thanksgiving.
Ideas on campgrounds within a 3 hour drive? Ones that are either near activities that the whole family can enjoy. OR an RV "Resort" that has fun facilities like a heated pool warm enough to swim in?? And a few local activities?
The beach areas will be a bit cold.
Ideas are either San Francisco, but the campgrounds nearish to there don't seem too appealing or are full. and we only live about 90 mins from SF anyway.
Or I see Paso Robles has some RV Resorts and maybe warmer if inland?? Anything there to see other than Wineries? Anywhere else inland? Any with an indoor pool, kids love to swim...

    +1 on Flying Flags in Buellton. We go there once every year to buy wine. In summertime they always have live entertainment Sat eve and good BBQ ribs.

    If you are interested I can recommend several places to eat.

    We visit Paso Robles every year the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. It sometimes does get cold at night and mornings but is generally very nice in the afternoons. We go for the wineries. Hearst Castle is a short scenic drive from Paso.

    We stay at Vines RV resort a few miles north of Paso. Very nice resort with heated pool.

    Over Thanksgiving weekend we stay in Buelton/Solvang at Flying Flags RV resort. TONS of activities for kids, games, night time movies, bonfires etc. Heated pool.

    If you like the beach, look at Morro Bay and/or Pismo Beach rv parks. But, like people have already said, you may have problems getting in this close to Thanksgiving. Depending on if you must have full hook-ups, or like roughing it, check San Simeon State Park, which is about 30 minutes north of Morro Bay area.

    We booked Jellystone in Lodi!!
    Mixed reviews but i think the kids will enjoy and it's a near area for us to visit.

    Yes! I have met locals here who stay there sometimes, will try it out one time! It's only 20 mins from us....

    Lake Naciemento has good fishing. San Miguel has a mission you can see. I used to live there and its mostly in bad repair. Sanctuary is closed but you can see most of the rest.

    Dating myself, when I lived there there was 1, count 'em, 1 winery. Now there are about 100. Good for us, as we enjoy tasting wines.

    If you were to go as far south as Buellton, CA I highly recommend Flying Flags to stay in, and Solvang is a great town to visit.

    You could try 49r Village in Plymouth but I'm not sure about availability. Indoor pool and fairly nice park.

    Maybe the California Delta area? There's a Jellystone Park nearby, other RV parks in/near Rio Vista, Sandy Beach County Park, Brannen Island State Rec Area.
