Central Michigan campground this weekend FHU

Hi! We usually camp at state campgrounds, so could use a little help. We’re looking for a campground with FHU for this weekend. We need to dump our tanks, and it’s so late in the season that we’re hoping to find a place within an hour of Lansing.

We drive a 30-foot Class C. There are two adults and a teen, plus a dog.

    We just left our summer campground because it is closing at 1pm on Sunday. Many are closing or have closed. That was a county park. Newaygo County Oxbow Park, and probably their others are still open, but water, electric and dump - no sewer sites.

    Hartwick Pines near Grayling has FHU sites. It's about 2 hours from Lansing. Call to make sure water etc is still on. (989) 348-7068

    Definitely call any park you're looking at. We came through Michigan a few weeks ago and a lot of places were closing for the season.

    Almost any campground will have a location that you can dump your tanks at. Find a site with electric or water and electric and dump before you set up and again before you leave. Not ideal but it works if no full hook ups are available.

    We are heading there today but I believe they are now sold out. This weekend is Grand Valley State University's family weekend which is right down the road from the campground.
