We did a road trip from New York to Florida earlier this summer and loved every mile... almost. In Savanna, we did the "Trolley Tour" of the Historical/Old Town. Our driver was very informative and I would highly recommend it to others. We also did lunch at Paula Deen's Restaurant, really liked that. There is lots to see and do there, enjoy. JH
Double ditto. Great historic tours in Savannah, GA. Skidaway Island State Park is nearby and some of the sites have full hookups. It's a very nice park that doesn't have the sites crammed close together. The bugs, especially mosquitos can be a problem in those areas even in winter so bring insect repellent. With the hurricane causing flooding, the mosquito population has exploded.
