CG & thgs to see/do nr columbia, Charleston. and Savanna SC

We will be traveling through these cities in early November. Most likely we will only stay 2-3 days in each location. Can you recommend some campgrounds and places to see, things to do etc. in each?

Charleston, we stay at James Island County Park when we can get in or Oak Plantation on US 17. James Island CP is a skip and a jump from downtown. We like Oak Plantation but traffic interferes with ientering and leaving the campground. The KOA in Summerville is a glorified trailer park.
