That's a gorgeous area and I've been to Ghost Ranch about 6-8 times since it opened in '58. Love the place and I was able to meet Georgia O'kefe in either '58 or '59,but being only 17 or so,didn't know who she was till later in life.
Funny story,when we first went there,we would stop at the service station in Abiquiu for gas and there would be no-one around and so you would pump your own gas and leave the money on the counter. It wasn't till a number of years later that I found out that the New Mexicans there just didn't want to have anything to do with us folk.
