- bobjogoneExplorerBuck hall part of Francis Marion national forest
- TerryallanExplorer IIWe also stayed at Lake Air. Pretty nice, large pull thru sites, pool, and pond. Only draw back. It is just a little farther out of town. But not too bad.
- leaddogExplorerIf you are a Passport America member and cost is a factor in where you camp, then Lake Aire would be an alternative campground. With PA it is $27/night vs $44/night at the campgrounds mentioned in previous posts. Not as nice as JCIP & OP, but if you are there to sightsee, then you will be out of the campground all day anyway.
Lake Aire is a private cg, so you will see a number of extended stay customers there. We never had a problem with any of them and they seem to stay to themselves.
We have camped at JCIP in the past and liked it, but is is difficult to get a reservation there. - lightfootExplorer IIIAnyone have any thoughts/comments about Lake Aire RV Park, also in the Charleston area.
- DrbolaskyExplorerJames Island County Park.
We've also used Oak Plantation, but James Island is much nicer. - MerrykaliaExplorerYep, JICP is great
- K_CharlesExplorerJames Island County Park
- wlstroudExplorerI second accsys' choices/comments.
- accsysExplorerJames Island County Park would be our first choice if you can get in. Oak Plantation would be our second.
