- sdianel_-acct_cExploreryes. We used to have a houseboat on the river. A beautiful place. Most sites level. Very shady, no cable TV and too much shade for satellite in most sites. Canoe, kayak and boat rental reasonably priced. New bath house. Read reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com under Florida, then Homosassa.
- lj2654ExplorerI live literally 10 minutes from there. when I was building our home site and clearing the land we lived there in our class "C"for 6 months. Small campground but quite a nice quiet place to stay for any length of time. Bath house in center and a camp store on the river with canoe and jon boat rentals(have to have own elec mtr though for the jon boats.) Store has some small grocery items and drinks. Only a few minutes to main road and north to Homosassa area with big stores and restaurants. New Walmart very close. Publix, Walgreen,Subway, Chinese all very close in same center.
- NanciLExplorer IIWe have stayed there a lot.
if you are a fisherman or a paddler, it is a fabulous place.
if you are not, you might not like it.
It is on a beautiful spring fed crystal clear river, that leads to the gulf with lots of side creeks to explore
On the weekend it is packed with fisherman parked on both sides of the road leading to the boat ramp
