Chatanooga Bound

What is there to see and do in Chattanooga? Where should I set up my rig? We will be heading that way near the end of September and into the first week of October.
  • Rock City, Ruby Falls, incline cable car, aquarium, River walk, and, of course, the choo choo.
  • Go to Trip advisor for a listing of things to do. Go to the top of this page and press the RV Parks button to search for RV parks.
  • Stay at Holiday travel Park in Ga. One mile south of Chatt. off of I-75.
  • I second holiday travel park very convient to chattanooga as stated above. We did most of the things listed and we did the southern belle boat. they offer dinner cruises and we did the lunch cruise as dinner was booked up you can google for the southern belle website. And although you normally don't want rain the more rain before you go the better Ruby falls is. Also if your tall watch your head as you can't move the mountain with your head I know I tried :B you mwill take a elevator down and walk back to the falls well worth seeing. And if i remember if you stay at Holiday travel park turn right and follow the 2 lane you'll get to ruby falls etc and beat the city traffic. The 2 lane criss crosses the GA/TN state lines whinh the park has a TN addtress it's in GA 1 mile from state line.
  • I have stayed at the camping world small park across the street from Holiday, which seemed a bit busy and crowded, but usually stay at a KOA on the mountain just south of town.

  • A must do are the Battlefield parks, and especially the Visitor Centers at Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain. The new movie at the Chickamauga Center and the "Above the Clouds" original painting at Lookout Mountain. Also, the lookout point on top at Point Park is the gotta-have picture of the river and Chattanooga from the tp of the point. If you are interested in Rifles, the collection at the Visitor center is exceptional. Many folks ride the Incline up to the Park and back, although the drive up by car is a real thriller also.
  • And if you are really bored, you can go out and jump off the top of the mountain with a parasail.
  • BTW, if you go to the visitor centers, tell them that we sent you.
