I googled LMKOA and it showed it there on I-59 in GA so I think that is the name of that one and the one you are thinking about. I always request a pull thru when I make reservations.
bumpy - ravExplorerI called the CW in Chattanooga. they have a small campground- no reservations
50 amp site- 24.08 30 amp site-22.50 - dapperdanExplorerWe're going to begin the area in late March, they both look interesting. Not sure which one to pick at this point, hopefully there will be more people responding to this thread. Always good to get a bunch of opinions. :)
Glad to see the reviews/comments.
Dan - jkmcmomExplorerWe have stayed at CW Chattanooga so many times I can't count. Sometimes it's because we got delayed on the road & can't make the rest of the way home. Or when we're having something done to the rig. This cg is reasonably priced. If I'm going to pay more then the park better offer more.
CW takes no reservations. You can call & see if they have space but they won't hold them. You go in to the store to the cashier to rent the space. The cashier will give you a map of the park. The park has a pool (seasonal) bathhouse & laundry. Some of the sites have cable. The park is somewhat tight spaces. The park is fenced against its neighbors but open toward the CW main building.
Close to I-75 but not much road noise.
1968mooney posted the link to Hamilton Co park. We drove thru there. This is a destination park that we plan to go to & stay. Just a beautiful, peaceful setting. It is not a park for an overnight as it is not convenient to the main hwys. - thedoghouseExplorer

Any recommendations for a campground with full hooks in or around the area?
Harrison Bay be good choice - DuckExplorerWe have stayed at Holiday many times and think it is a very good CG. The bathrooms are spotless and plenty of areas for walking the dog. Cable was good and no problems with power.

We stayed there a year and a half ago. Very tight sites. We saw a class A that couldn't extend both the awning and slide. Our 5 camp chairs couldn't fit around the fire ring without going onto the neighboring site.
I agree very tight sites..we had a pull thru and pulled in,but with the trees and other rv's..had to unhook next day and back out...Chuck
