Closest Campground To Sesame Place (Langhorne, PA)

Are you trying to convince us.. or yourself ???? :B

please do a review of that hotel before you visit.... Not ALL hotels in the area are nice..... I am not saying that is one of them...

Interestingly- doing the math, it's significantly cheaper to hotel it for this trip.

Between the 35 miles (each way) to/from the campground, avoiding the Baltimore tunnels, the extra hijinks in my town (avoiding a bad turn or low hanging trees over the road) and the to/from the storage lot, I'll only be driving 300 miles instead of 450.

The campground was a bit spendy at $60/night (not sure if tax is extra). The Comfort Inn looks like our room will be $65/night + tax or right about $70/night. The camping fuel cost would have been $180 but driving our car fuel cost will only be $45. Tolls (and there are a lot of them driving north on I-95 from just south of Baltimore, MD) will be cheaper at 2 axles instead of 4.

We'll still pack lunches for Saturday and Sunday, but dinners will have to be purchased out and then there's the whole deal of hotel beds and all that jazz.

Butterfly resort is in Jackson, NJ - seems close to Six Flags. Seems like it should have been pretty easy.

BUT... I was informed by my wife that I misunderstood her directions (cough, #@$##@$#@, cough) and we'll be getting a hotel. Comfort Inn it likely is. Someone else will have to check out Butterfly. :(

Fortunately, Butterfly takes deposits via mailed in check and had no issue with us cancelling.

Not knowing where Butterfly resort is , you should be fine with the ride.... pretty straight forward....Like stated above , not too in depth...I too am curious about that place ,we have been looking for a place close to Spring Lake Beach which is out that way.... Take some pictures!

You'll have to let us know how you like Butterfly. I'm always on the lookout for nearby CGs for quick getaways.

The commute won't be too bad - just take I-195 until it ends and becomes Route 29. Follow that to the ramp for SB Route 1. You'll go over a bridge (toll) into PA. Follow Route 1 for a few miles to the Oxford Valley exit. Turn left. Sesame will be on your right in just a couple of traffic lights.

Well, it's been selected - I just made reservations at Butterfly Camping Resort in Jackson, NJ. We're only going to the park for a day, so we shouldn't hate the commute too bad. We'll see! :)

We camp in Williamsburg once or twice a year - pretty easy jaunt down there from here (Baltimore metro area). We're headed to Florida for about a month and then are making our way back home. We're hoping to get good use out of it- ironically just not often hitting Sesame Place. :)

There are a few hotels that should be stayed away from... I think 20/20 just had a sting at one of them?? :-). If you are interested ,if you have to stay at a hotel , drop me a PM and I will give you the no's and no way's !!! Thee are a few nice that will allow you to park your camper while you stay,, and they are clean...and safe,,

Sadly, it's really the driveway itself that is unavailable. She's hosting a baby shower and needs the space! :) I just thought it weird to write "my cousin's driveway is unavailable when we want to use it". :D

We have stayed in the area before- if we hotel it, we'll likely hit up a Marriott or Holiday Inn or something like it. We haven't often had bad experiences with those. I'll shoot you a PM if we hotel it and see what you think.
