COE parks in Mississippi along I55
We have stopped for an overnight stay at Oak Creek COE park at the Sadis exit and it is just fine but we would like to go a little further south so it would not be as far to our next stop near Hatties...

There are only COE parks along I-55 at the four lakes in northern MS. Grenada Lake is the farthest south. You can check the campground status on recreation.gov.
The only other COE campgrounds are along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in the north eastern part of the state and one near Meridian.
There is a county park with reasonable rates on the Ross Barnett Reservior in Jackson. Almost no Federal campgrounds south of Jackson / I-20.
The Pearl River Authority does have some campgrounds, but I don’t know their status.
