There are only COE parks along I-55 at the four lakes in northern MS. Grenada Lake is the farthest south. You can check the campground status on recreation.gov.
The only other COE campgrounds are along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in the north eastern part of the state and one near Meridian.
There is a county park with reasonable rates on the Ross Barnett Reservior in Jackson. Almost no Federal campgrounds south of Jackson / I-20.
The Pearl River Authority does have some campgrounds, but I don’t know their status.
