We stayed last week - it's open but the trail is still closed. I don't see much "improvement", but haven't been there for quite a while. Sites are still gravel, looks like a upgraded bath-house, but I don't remember the other one as we use our own when we need it usually. Looks like part of the underbrush has been removed since last time.
It's a nice CG, and still 'rustic' in a sense, but we like that anyway.
