Colorado Fires

We evacuated South Fork Co. About 2 weeks ago. We were in Fun Valley which probably had 200 trailers. Everyone moved out in a very organized fashion. Many of these trailers stay here all summer, so it was a big deal to find a place to wait out the fire. Firefighters did a great job protecting structures through out the area. It is still burning but way up in wilderness areas. Its getting close to 100,000 acres. Beattle kill trees are really feeding the fire. What Im saying is ome on uo. Air is very clean and area is now safe. Thanking the firefighters for their great job.
  • They did a fantastic job. It went from an initial concern for losing the entire town of South Fork to not losing any known structures. Only a couple miles or so to spare.
Within the last 2-3 days the highways have reopened, residents have been allowed to return to their homes, and the RV parks have reopened.
