In July of last year we made our first RV trip to Washington and Oregon after a delightful stop at West Glacier (actually Hungry Horse and Mountain Meadow Campground). We spent a night near Spokane at the Riverside State Park, then . . .
On the Columbia we stayed at Memaloose State Park on the Oregon side before going on over to the Oregon coast at South Beach State Park.
The point being ... we enjoyed a quiet stay at Memaloose and a nice drive out toward Mount Hood. Memaloose is right on the freeway, but we were never aware of it while we stayed there: (two views)
