Columbia River Gorge Washington State Campground?

We are going to be in Washington and Oregon in Mid May. After we complete hwy 101 on the coast of Oregon we plan to head east at Astoria. We look to run along the Columbia River on hwy 30 as it should...

If it helps, WA 14 widens out considerably from Hood River Eastward. Still a bit winding and some hills, but plenty of big rig traffic on that side. WA 14 is much more scenic West of Hood River though, and we don't have a problem with our 21' TT. The I84 side is almost always the faster way to get where you're going.
