Well, what a bummer. I was hoping to find some refuge. South Padre is very close, about 3.5 hours. I just hate spending time inside the rv with a noisy air conditioner. Next week is my birthday and I wanted to go somewhere cool since we haven't had the rv out for awhile.
Someone said they thought Monterrey is in the mountains, it is, but in between at 1500ft. We may be cooling down to 91F next week. I wish we could have stayed in San Miguel de Allende until the end of the month but a three-day job brought us back. Too bad.
We have a pool here at home but the water is warm. One of the wells is already dry and we are hoping the other holds out until more rains come.
Thanks for all your comments. I would still like to try Davis Mountains or Guadalupe Natl Park.
