- korbeExplorerWe came up to Crater Lake from Seven feathers Casino. Traveled hwy 227 to hwy 62. Up the road on 62 we stayed at the Forest Service Campgrounds near the Lake.
- agesilausExplorer IIIThr park was still half way snowed in when we were there in early July a couple years ago. You could only drive on the southern half of the loop around the Lake. But the roads are excellent and you shouldn't have any problems.
- downtheroadExplorerAnother suggestion is Joseph Stewart State Park...another excellent Oregon State Park. Easy drive up to Crater Lake. Huge full featured park. If you have a dog, it also has a great off leash area, great trail system and is on a lake.
Have a good trip.
Joseph Stewart SP....LINK - donn0128Explorer IIFrom where? From 97 side get reservations at Diamond Lake resort.
- padredwNomadNot sure what you're asking, but we stayed at Diamond Lake RV Park (private, with hookups) and found it perfect for our use. We were towing a 34' fifth-wheel. We found it easy to drive into Crater Lake.
- rhagfoExplorer IIIWhen do you plan on traveling??
Park only has two Campgrounds, and only one takes RV's.

Crater Lake website does a pretty good job describing road conditions within the park -even has a number of web cams running 24/7. Right now I suspect it's snowy/icy.
