Crater of diamonds campground question
Can you walk from the Arkansas State Park Campround at Crater of Diamonds to the diamond hunting fields? We will be traveling thru the area in a few weeks by motorhome but without our TOAD.

It's been several years since I was there, but I walked from the campsite to the diamond fields. At that time you had to go in the office to pay the fee and rent the equipment (if you need to rent any.) Also, there was a film you could watch first. Hint... wear OLD shoes. Mine went in the trash afterward.
Also, I read after I was there, to dig around any pipes where the water seems to come out of. Seems that is where the diamonds wash out of. I didn't find anything, but it was fun to do anyway.
