Can anyone recommend a great RV park in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I don't tow a car so I would like one that has a shuttle or within walking distant to places. I'm good for 5 mile walk, round trip. LOL!

Dallas and the surrounding suburbs covers a very large area. And not a walking friendly area if any distance is involved. No RV parks anywhere near downtown. Not sure about any having a shuttle or being on a bus line. Is there anything in particular you want to visit?

What you are looking for does not exist. By far the best option is to rent a car. Dallas and Fort Worth 60 miles apart with numerous suburban cities in between. If you are going to the area recreationally, a rental car is really the only option. If you are going for business and need to go to one specific spot, it might, repeat might, be possible to find a park near a bus line that would eventually get you to your destination, but we need much more info to help you with that. Bus service in Dallas is not like that in the eastern cities, it doesn't serve the majority of the area.

Sometimes people with an East Coast orientation do not have an appreciation of the great distances out west. Texas can be a great example. DFW covers a very large dispersed area as does Houston. Driving across Texas from Texarkana at the east side to El Paso at the far west side covers over 800 miles. That's like driving from New York City to Chicago. Or from NYC nearly to Florida.To visit my cousin over in the Houston area I drive all the way across southern California, all the way across Arizona, and all the way across that southern leg of New Mexico into Texas at El Paso. I then continue another hundred miles and I'm finally half way to my cousin's house. Only half way! Come on out but keep an eye on the gas gauge.

I live in the DFW metroplex and if you're without a car you're out of luck. The two cities are about 30 miles apart. Look at www.rvparkreviews.com and check the parks reviewed. Call the parks you like and see if a shuttle service is available.
