Darian Lake State Park or another place

Nice park. Both loops have electric with water available at standpipes located all around the loops. Park has some great trails and a nice swimming area. Park is kept very clean as are the bathrooms. The park does book up near full when the nearby Darien Lake amusement park has a concert but reserving a site for a week should be no problem. Sites in the A loop are more shaded than in the B loop. We camp at Darien State Park 2-3 weekends a year. Nice park with about 140 sites that is located near many areas of interest ( Niagara Falls, Finger Lakes region, wine trails, amusement park etc. ) Hope this helps.

I have never stayed at Darien, but most of the state parks fill up on the weekends so I would book early as possible. Having said that we have always had good luck getting decent sites with a 30' rig and a months lead time. I would also suggest Letchworth State Park if Darien is full. One of my favorites.

What is your destination in Western New York? I live near Niagara Falls and would be happy to give you some ideas.

Unless they have upgraded, I believe there is only one loop wit electric there and I think they are very difficult to reserve unless you book well ahead of time (like 11months). There is private campground nearby called Skyline RV Resort. I have stayed there several times and it is nice and reasonably priced. Sleepy Hollow Campground (also nearby) is also good. Google "Campground owners of New York" website. This site will provide plenty of information on private campgrounds by Region. You will want to look at campgrounds in the Niagara Region. Good luck.

Never stayed there, but have heard that you need to make reservations quite a bit in advance. We stayed at a private CG on grand island
Have fun at the falls, a great time, so is the desert cruise.
You should be able to make reservations through Reserve America, they handle all of the NYS parks reservations
