We might get our first freeze tonight here on NC coast. Predicting 29-30 :(

Does any one know where the SLC area us???

Today is the first day in about 3 that we finally hit above 32 in the SLC area.

ya well it is going down to 18 to night here in wichita falls tx but in 44 days we will be heading south as i will be retired by then cant wait for warm weather hate cold

Only time will tell for certain, but I for one believe our jet stream is being modified by the melting ice caps. A quote from a local weather caster:

"Larger undulations in the jet stream mean bigger dips and bigger crests. In the case of the polar vortex, a particularly deep trough allowed for very cold air masses to travel much further south than normal."

This I believe is the reason we're seeing the Midwest in a deep(er) freeze cycle the last few winters. The Alberta clipper is no longer flatting out, but dipping all the way down to Texas.

What has been noted on this snowbird forum the last few winters may be the new normal for Texas snowbirds.

Stop your whining. You do not see this in San Benito or Green Gate Groove.

We saw on the weather this a.m. that it was 44 in NYC and 25 here in N. Texas....What's wrong with this picture???
