Despite the budget impasse, Death Valley is still a good place for camping. Some trails are closed but there is still plenty to see.

Nice Job
:B - profdant139Explorer IIWonderful photos, great story -- thanks for posting! But what is that cool blog app that you are using?? It displays full size photos, and the transitions from one picture to the next were great.
I use Blogspot, which is easy to use, but your format beats mine by a mile. (Click on the "trips" link in my signature and you will see what I mean -- it's ok, but yours is superior.) - I miss DV. Might still get out this year but looking slim.

Thanks. This was my first attempt at using this app. It's called SPARK by ADOBE and the best part is that it's free. Nice job on your blog btw!
Try this:

YES it is GREAT!
Looks so good I might even use it :) - Jayco1cExplorerThanks for sharing.
- ppineExplorer IITrails and campsites are not required.
- Two_JayhawksExplorerGreat post thanks for sharing! You folks obviously have an eye for photography. Our pictures never turn out that good.
- ppineExplorer IIDeath Valley is a huge park. Get out and see as much of it as you can. Its dark corners hold many secrets. I have done some short overnight hiking trips. They are short because it is often a requirement to haul a lot of water. Even a mile off the road can be remote if you are not on a marked trail. The vast majority of the use in DV is on all the obvious locations. For some people the desert is intimidating. You can use that to your advantage.
