Decent RV Campground from about Santa Barbara to Indio, CA?

For a first timer I would go to East Shore. While I like Prado a bit better because of the loops and lake that I can go and ride with my kids and Grand kids.
Prado's pull thrus are nice but some have the hookups on the wrong side so you have to know the sites. On their website you can click on the site and see each one.
All the back in sites are correct.
