We are planning a week-long trip to Deep Creek Lake area in Western Maryland this summer so I'm looking for campground info or recommendations. Staying for a week, we definitely want full hookups so that pretty much rules out the state parks. The only local private campgrounds that I can find are the Double G RV Park in McHenry and the Bumble Bee in Accident. The Bumble Bee doesn't have cable or Wi-Fi so I'm leaning towards the Double G. The CG looks nice but I can't find any reviews online which seems odd. Does anyone have any experience with the Double G or have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There are three sites at Swallow Falls State Park with w,e,s. Camping is kind of sparse out there already without limiting your self.

Haven't been but would like to go to Deep Creek as we've heard it's beautiful.

I didn't check availability for our dates but the state park rules are so restrictive (no alcohol, etc.) that we would rather go to one of the private CGs. Double G got back to me today and our dates are available. I'm just a little hesitant to make a reservation at a CG that I can't find any reviews for. RVParkReviews.com doesn't even list them on their website which is strange.

It is a very nice area with beautiful scenery... we tent camped there many years ago before our daughter was born. She is almost 11 years old so we are looking forward to going back with her.

Thanks, I did see that on the Swallow Falls site but I also read somewhere that the camp host takes 1 of them all summer.
