The first time I stayed at the Kentucky Horse Park CG she asked if I wanted a spot in the "primitive" area? Hell no I said!
Only to find out after walking around what "primitive" meant to THEM!
It's a separate area within the park. I has electric, and water. But no sewer hookup. But right out front of that area is a dump station.
THAT is what primitive means to that CG. :W
Next trip thru I stayed again at Kentucky Horse Park I ASKED for primitive!:B Sites where bigger, quieter atmosphere, price was almost half the rate, you didn't need reservations AND the campers there where a whole lot more friendlier. Perhaps because we didn't have to pay the high CG rate the others did yet we still enjoyed all the amenities! :C
Good post----Except one small problem ---at Kentucky Horse Park none of the sites have sewer-- none of the sites have sewer.:W
( they have a Honey Wagon that will come along and pump you out )
none of them have sewer-- I've stayed there many many many times.:C
There are 2 seperate dump stations on the Main entrence exit road . Right in line ,as it were.
Yes The Primitive dispersed camping there is great it's real laid-back and you meet great people there yes
