Both are busy places. Not out of control. But not sedate either. The state park is fantastic. Close to the beach,marina, with Tiki Bar and restaurant.
Close to town. You could take long walks along the beach, not very woodsy.
Masseys Landing is nice as well, although it is in a more congested area. Leaving and returning to CG can be hectic during peak times due to traffic
Cape Henlopen State Park, DE is another option with more wooded sites. It has been recently been re done with new sites and a new layout. Close to Ferry to Cape May, NJ. Great day trip. Or an option for more camping. Maybe more of what your looking for. But I would book soon. They all fill up fast
