Denver Meadows RV Park

We recently, in passing through Denver, ended up staying at Denver Meadows RV Park for almost 2 weeks. I can truly say it is the worst, dirtiest RV Park we have ever stayed in in 3 years of RVing. We originally had reservations for 2 nights but my husbands appendix ruptured and he was in the hospital for a week and then recovering for another 6 days before we could leave.

The park is a huge broken up concrete parking lot with no grass at all. There was a dirt strip on one side that was supposed to be the dog walk but it was full of garbage and tall weeds. There were 2 pools, one was empty and cracked and the other was full of old lumber, etc. There were overflowing dumpsters everywhere. Behind the office was a collection of old truck beds, broken metal buildings, wrecked picnic tables and more. Many of the campers were long term and didn't seem to care to keep the camp clean either. The real insult was that they charge comparably to what the nice, well-groomed RV parks in Denver charge.

The only good thing about it was its location, which was 1/2 mile from University of Colorado Hospital. In fact, the manager told me they have many people stay there specifically because they are being treated at the hospital. This makes me really mad that they knowingly are taking advantage of these sick people.

  • RVPR is always the first internet stop if looking for a CG. If the average review is not decent there is no chance of us stopping there.

Good inner city RV parks are hard to come by. If this one was so bad why even spend one night there? They did not chain your RV to the ground. You wanted convenience to the hospital. You got it. There are some nice parks in the greater Denver area. There is pay day parking everywhere. There is the public transport system. In short there were other options to avoid the dump.

You have an RV. No park can take advantage of you unless you let them. You were there two days before your husband got sick. Why didn't you just boogie on out when you saw the place was a dump? The fact that some people are staying there because it is close to the hospital doesn't make it a rip off of sick people. If the park wasn't there, would that still be a ripoff? You elected to stay and pay the price, that is hardly taking advantage of you.
  • You might try south park mobile home park. Nicely maintained & pool. Off the the highway. Good commute south Denver and red rocks.

there is also flying saucer park, didn't stop there but it had more shade but looked a little run down.
  • You must not have searched rvparkreviews.com before staying there. From reading the reviews that place must be a real dump. Go to that website and join. Be aware that you have to post three reviews before the first one will show up. It does all of us a favor to post reviews on places we should or SHOULDN'T stay.
