Those who know me on here know I am a reservations guy. Now, in 18 years part time rv'ing, we have been to 178 different rv parks (98% or so in western states / provinces) and many several times.
I like the idea of the security of having a place I / wife / dog like; and, in many cases, the exact spot we want.
djgarcia is right. You can always cancel (maybe slight charge) or change (usually not a fee) but we have rarely done so.
God willing, we leave mid July this year for OR Coast and will be out 72 nights. All are reserved. We will be on OR Coast for 5 weeks and would not even consider going there without a reservation. We will be staying at 19 rv parks, only 3 new ones.
We want to be able to spend time at places, doing and seeing. Not spending a good part of our day trying to find a place to stay.
IMHO.
