I agree they are overpriced but they do have a heart.
While camping at a premium site my wife became ill and we ended up having to go to Arnold Palmer Hospital for three days. I called the CG office and told them my problem and that I didn't know how long we would have to stay. Asked if I could move to a cheaper site or may move to another campground. They told me not to worry about moving. They charged me the same nightly minimum rate for a campsite in the cheapest area for however long I needed to stay.
Another point: My motorhome gets 6.8 mpg, diesel. DW is 550 miles away. Once I have spent the money to maintain the MH and drive the trip, the cost of camping and buying tickets becomes a smaller issue, by comparison.
