Do you store your unit in another state?

I have a small toy hauler and storage is very expensive where I live 40 miles SW of Portland or it's constantly full.

Does anyone store their unit in Mesa or the surrounding area or do you have info on storage in the SW? When the rainy season starts here (usually end of October until late March) I want to be boondocking somewhere in the SW on BLM land as well as travelling to TX and eventually FL before returning home. Basically, follow the nicer weather when it's wet & nasty here.

I'm putting the final touches on my pickup and trailer and should be leaving here Sept 2. My plan is to go East and eventually end up in WI before heading South towards warmer weather. Since I plan on storing the unit somewhere for approx 4 months once the weather gets nice back here I wouldn't mind storing it in the same general area where I'll head to when it starts raining again.

Any suggestions? Ideally I'd like an enclosed unit but it has to be covered at the bare minimum.
  • I don't have that option. If I did I wouldn't have posted my question.

I don't have any friends or relatives with barns, large garages, etc. There's an extremely minute chance that I may be able to store it in a hangar. My cousin just bought a plane with a 50' wingspan but can't find any hangars with doors that wide so he's looking at sliding it in at an angle. Since I'd be paying him to offset the cost, hangar space is normally quite expense.
  • Wont help but my buddy stored his TC in the salt mines of Missouri. Nice and dry and temp constant. No UV either!
