Dreher Island state park south carolina question

anyone have reviews, advice etc for Dreher State Park sc? looking at reservation possibilities this fall and they have several nice looking waterfront sites available long enough for our TT. We only live about 3 hours north and looking for some fall camping options in sc and georgia. done the sc coastal parks, looking for something different.
  • I’ve heard it’s quite nice, have not camped there though. Primarily because we live off I-77 in Blythewood and frequent Lake Wateree State Park. Only 20 miles from our house. Plenty of large shaded paved sites, boat ramp, walking trails, camp store. They have several pull throughs that can accommodate large rigs, plus boat plus car. ONly negative (for some) is that they only have 30 amp service, no FHU’s. They have begun working on a new section which will be FHU, 50 amp but probably not ready for a year.
